Vulnerability is one of the basic concepts in the strategy of sustainable livelihood, which seeks to reduce poverty in rural communities by tackling the vulnerabilities. Less developed countries, especially in rural areas, have very fragile structures that are largely vulnerable. In these contexts, rural settlements face great challenges in the face of environmental damage. For example, restrictions on capital and assets and low access to water resources, food, and health infrastructure have drastically reduced the adaptive capacity of such communities and their abilities to deal with environmental hazards. Therefore, it can be said that understanding rural vulnerability is essential for developing disaster risk reduction strategies. Studies in this field have mostly sought to show the ability of human beings to respond, adapt and cope with economic, social and especially environmental changes.
