The Global Talent Competitiveness Index was created in 2013 in order to compare the ability of countries to compete for talents. The country comparison report according to this index has been published six times so far.
The number of economies ranked by this index increased from 103 in 2013 to 125 in 2019. According to the 2019 report, Iran ranks 97th in the global talent competitiveness index and ranks 7th among 10 Central and South Asian countries.
The global talent competitiveness index model is an input-output model that provides an assessment of what countries do for talents (inputs) and what they observe as a result of their work related to talents (outputs).
Inputs include empowerment, attraction, growth and maintenance, and two levels of talent, one intermediate level and the other a higher level of distinction, have been considered in examining the outputs.
